How do I get a quote and book my vehicle into a garage?

Simply either call the Call Centre on 01606 800 031 or get a quote and book online

The Call Centre staff will then:

  • discuss work to be carried out
  • provide a detailed estimate
  • agree a selection of dates that are convenient
  • locate a garage, who will collect and deliver the vehicle if required
  • confirm the booking with garage.
  • take your credit card details for payment and preauthorise.
  • Payment is taken only when the work is complete.

Will my vehicle be collected and delivered back to me?

As long as the booking is over £75 then your vehicle can be collected from your place of work or home and delivered back to you. Garages will collect within their local area on average within a 10mile radius or approx 20 minutes from their garage location. Obviously this will vary - shorter distances in cities and towns and further in the countryside due to the traffic conditions.

NSN can only provide a courtesy collection & delivery service for vehicles that are roadworthy and drivable, this is not a recovery service for non drivable vehicles.

When can I get my car serviced/MOT?

The service/MOT will take place between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Are NSN cheaper than our local garage?

NSN prices are very competitive. NSN does not guarantee to always be the cheapest, but NSN will only complete work that is actually required and NSN prices reflect the quality of service and the guarantees and backup provided by NSN.

Don't I have to go to my local franchise garage to have my vehicle serviced?
My vehicle is less than 3 years old, won't I invalidate my warranty?

At NSN we offer our great value Interim and Full service menu programmes or can service your car according to the manufacturer's service schedule. All our garages can carry out normal maintenance, servicing and repairs without invalidating the warranty as long as the service is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's service schedule and that the parts used are (OE) equivalent. At NSN we only use (OE) equivalent parts and quality oil. If your vehicle is still within the manufacturer's warranty period then please check that the service chosen meets the manufacturer's service schedule.

If your franchise garage claims that having the vehicle serviced outside the Franchise network will invalidate your manufacturer warranty, they are incorrect and are contrary to European regulations.

How does the NSN National guarantee work?

Workmanship and parts are covered by NSN's unique national network. All parts and labour provided by NSN is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles after the initial job. This is a national warranty, so for example, if you have had your vehicle serviced or repaired in Devon by NSN while on holiday and go home to Newcastle and there is a problem simply call NSN's central number and NSN will arrange for their local garage in Newcastle to repair the vehicle.

NSN at its sole discretion will decide where the remedial work is undertaken within its National Network of Approved Garages. All reasonable efforts will be made to undertake such work at a location convenient to the Customer.

Can I contact the NSN garage direct to have work done on my vehicle?

You must book your vehicle with NSN centrally. If you make arrangements with the garage direct your transaction is purely with the garage and NSN will not be part of this arrangement. For example: the work will not be covered by our warranty.

Do you provide breakdown cover/services?

NSN do not provide breakdown assistance so you would need to contact a breakdown provider

After you have been recovered by your breakdown company if you contact NSN we will be happy to provide a quotation to undertake any repairs to your vehicle.

Can I finance the repair and pay over time?

NSN take payment via credit card or debit card when the payment is complete but do not provide 'loan' or other finance facilities.

Request for repair work, other than MOT's, service and service related items?

We can provide an estimate for replacement of specific items. However our garages will investigate what the actual fault with the vehicle is and confirm if it is the (specified item) that needs to be replaced or something different. If the garage discovers that it is something different, we will provide a price for the repair BEFORE doing any work and you can then chose to continue to have the work done.

If you are unsure of the work required, we will book you in to a garage for them to inspect your vehicle and we will then provide you with a quote for the work required. Depending on the complexity of the investigation there may be a diagnostic/investigation charge. You will need to discuss this with the NSN Call Centre.

Why should I use NSN?

We offer a unique service which means you will not have to deal direct with the garage again. Our maintenance controllers oversee the work to ensure only work that is actually required is completed on your vehicle and you are not overcharged. We provide a 12 month guarantee and our team of network managers inspect garages and monitor the quality of their work. We offer a collection and delivery service where possible and your vehicle should be returned to you with a complimentary wash & vac (subject to terms and conditions).

We keep you informed at every stage and our dedicated support team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have at any point during the booking and will be a point of contact for you as well.

Will you book my vehicle in to a Main Dealer?

All our garages are at present independent garages that have to meet very exacting standards to maintain their place in the network. Work carried out in the NSN network of garages will not invalidate any manufacturer's warranty.

Can I have the garage details so I can speak with them direct?

Part of the beauty of dealing with NSN is that we do this for you. Once the booking has been confirmed we can provide this information for you. If you book any work direct with the garage it will not include the benefits such as the 12 month guarantee, which is provided on all work, completed in an NSN garage and this is valid across the UK

Why do you need my credit card details?

We pay the garage on your behalf, this helps us ensure all work is completed correctly and garages work hard to maintain our required standards and the business we deliver to them. All payments are secure, and the money is not taken from your account until the work has been completed.

What if extra work is needed?

We will provide you with a new estimate for the additional work required. It will be your decision as to whether to authorise the additional work or not. No work will be completed without your authorisation. If you chose to continue, payment will be preauthorised, with your permission, from your credit card. If you don't want to continue with the additional work, not a problem, we will inform the garage and you will only be charged for the work completed.

Can you service all makes and models of car?

All our garages have the latest diagnostic equipment to service most makes and models of car. There are some cars that we can't service or repair and we will obviously inform you of this before taking your booking.
