Not Just The MOT

Your annual MOT vehicle check is compulsory for most vehicles more than 3 years old. At this check your registration details are confirmed, and basic safety and system checks are carried out. This is to ensure the road-worthiness of your vehicle. Having a road-worthy car is most important, not just for you but for all road users.

The MOT is not the only check-up your car needs. Regular services are crucial to maintain your car at peak efficiency. Services include brake inspections and oil and filter changes.

Regular servicing increases the residual value of your car because costly repairs can be avoided. Not having your transmission oil changed can lead to problems with big end bearings, rings and valves. This is a very expensive problem that could have been avoided with regular servicing.

Warranties require these regular services to be carried out using parts and oils manufactured to OE standards. These services can be very costly, so it pays to look around for a service that offers a discount. Make sure that the service does use OE standard parts.

Some services offer REALLY good service! How about pick up and delivery of your car? Free wash and vacuum before you get your car back? MOT available as well? That’s what I’d be looking for!
